The other day I got the opportunity to meet Ava and Ethan, the kids of an old coworker of mine! It’s funny because it turns out that we only live a few miles from apart, but we somehow haven’t run in to each other while around town. These two certainly were an energetic pair!

The other day I got to meet the cutest pair of cousins! Brielle and Cayden were such a fun pair! I was super excited to do this session because this was the same place I had my own wedding photos taken over 7 years ago! So, I knew this was going to be an awesome location to shoot at. These kids didn’t disappoint either! They were as cute as can be and both of them reminded me of my own little rascals.

Then we headed to the other side of the island where the light was just gorgeous!!!! I think I’m a little in love with this shot.

OK, so a couple of weeks ago I’m in the kitchen washing dishes. My sink overlooks my family room and I see Addie concentrating hard on her little pink laptop. I asked her what she was up to, and she responded that she was making her pictures pretty like mommy. Ummm, yeah, lump in the throat, hold back the sob! ♥ ♥ ♥
This little 6 day old was just absolutely sweet! From her beautiful head of hair and great baby skin to the way she barely cried. She was an absolute pleasure to work with!

Olivia was just a doll and made me remember how much I adore newborns!
Last week I was able to squeeze in a little session of my nephews for my sister. These little guys are quite the handful, but oh so cute! We decided to check out a place that I’ve been meaning to go to since I’ve lived on this side of town. The Edsel Ford House, which is absolutely GORGEOUS! We didn’t even go inside, but spent some time on the grounds just looking around! We had to be quick because the sky was very ominous! In fact we just missed the rain that hit my house which was only a couple of miles away!

And now it’s Addison’s turn! Yes, now that she’s entered the grown up world of preschool she prefers to be referred to as Addison and not Addie. I was a bit taken aback by her decision to change to her full name. But I guess this is what life is when you have a very opinionated three your old. It has been a bit of an adjustment and you better believe she’ll correct you if you call her Addie. As in if I say, “Come here Addie”, she’ll interrupt and say in her scolding voice “Add-i-SIIINNNN!”. Oh boy.
So AddiSON finally got her chance to go to school. She’s been looking forward to this day for a long time now!

She’s so silly!
I didn’t get many once we were at the school, but this one cracks me up. I don’t know why the funny face…I believe I told her to turn around so that I could get light on her face and she saw the playground out the window? Regardless, the expression cracks me up!
And once inside her classroom, she made a beeline right for the dollhouse…of course!
Once her day was done, she reported that she likes it. Her teachers are nice, but the other kids don’t share. She can’t wait to go back!
WOW, I can hardly believe that Aidan is starting kindergarten. I swear it was only yesterday that he started preschool! He was very excited and I was too. This is such a big day! Of course, I would have gotten these up yesterday, but I was exhausted from all the excitement. This is as much of a change in routine for me as it is for him. I’m sure with a little time, we’ll all adjust.

I was so excited for this session! I finally got to meet a friend that I met online more than three years ago. Amy and I are members of a private message board that started out as a spinoff of a parenting board. The board is more about friendships and sharing our lives (and we still occasionally ask questions about our children). Amy and I were pregnant and due around the same time when we “met”. That seems so long ago!!!! I can’t believe it took us so long to actually meet each other face to face! It was such a pleasure and her family is awesome! I immediately fell in love with Noah(who is my Addie’s age). He is just the absolute SWEETEST boy I’ve ever met. Then there is Alex who is a little bundle of energy with the prettiest blue eyes I’ve ever seen!
So without further a doo…

Nothing overly exciting. Last week Addie wanted to go for a scooter ride and I took the camera since the light was so pretty.
Getting ready to head out. Poor girl inherited her brothers Spiderman three wheel scooter. She’ll probably punish me for this later in life.
